Want Your Students to become LFW Fellows?
The LFW Partners program allows your institution to join a network of schools across the country committed to providing access to international experience for Black men on their campuses and diversifying the global leadership landscape.
The LFW experience is more than just a trip...
In addition to an international travel experience, our fellows engage in personal and professional development activities throughout the program that target social and psychological barriers to success. Participants return home ready to utilize the skills they gain as LFW Fellows in full force on behalf of themselves and their communities.
The LFW Fellowship program combines tactics proven to assist in the academic success and retention of Black men. The program utilizes mentorship and positive peer group affiliation to support Fellows throughout the 8-month duration. The Fellowship combines an emphasis on self-efficacy and college/career advising with an international experience that incorporates an identity-specific curriculum designed addresses the lived experiences of Black men.
According to CNN, in 2018 Black professionals held just 3.3% of all executive or senior leadership roles, and "Among Fortune 500 companies, less than 1% of CEOs are Black" (Sahadi, 2020, June 2).
LFW works to address the lack of diversity in global leadership roles, particularly in advanced leadership positions. We emphasize mentorship, intercultural learning, and leadership training as critical components of shaping the next generation of leaders and social change-makers who grow into our involved Alumni after completing the program. Currently, one LFW Fellowship Alum serves on our Advisory Board.

Our mission is to develop dynamic leaders who are globally-minded, self-aware, and service-driven.
Partners help LFW to achieve our mission to cultivate Black men to be leaders of tomorrow who are globally-minded, self-aware, and service-driven. Our Partners provide invaluable support by identifying potential students, guiding them through the application steps, and supporting their participation in the program. We are always looking for more partners to support and sponsor the leaders of tomorrow in our upcoming Fellowship cohort.
We're looking for institutions and organizations with similar missions (such as education, mentorship, and Black Male Achievement) who are interested in sending 1-3 LFW Fellows to join the next cohort in Ghana.
