Leaders of the Free World's focus is to improve self-efficacy and achievement outcomes in “high risk” young black men (16-22) by creating an international leadership development and service-learning program focused on building a cohort of community leaders, entrepreneurs, and mentors for success.
“Leaders of the Free World” aims to create an international experiential learning and intervention model aimed at leadership development for “high risk” young black men. The program will focus building self-efficacy levels in participants that impede achievement outcomes. The Leaders of the Free World program will incorporate a pre-and post-departure curriculum that will specifically target psychological barriers and prepare participants for personal and professional success after the program. The secondary goal of the program will be to create an active network of alumni “Leaders”.
